Livistona decipiens, the ribbon fan palm, is native to the east coast of Queensland, Australia. It's graceful form and robust nature have earned this palm a place in tropical and sub-tropical landscapes around the world. This palm grows tall and slender and has droopy costopalmate leaves. It is well adapted to dry, hot climates such as the low desert and requires intermittent deep watering. This palm is extremely rare in cultivation in Arizona and nearly impossible to find in nurseries. Zones 9-11
